3 ways to search the Earley Database
Searching the Earley Database
The Earley Company Archives are comprised of 336 individual designs and one volume of window tracings. Each individual design has been assigned a single index number. These index numbers are for reference purposes and can be used as a search option during repeat visits to the database. The volume of tracings also has a single number however each separate page within has been assigned a sub number for the purpose of identifying the various designs. Where designs partner and relate to each other, this is indicated in the description notes so that they can be cross-referenced.
Search options have been kept simple and relate specifically to the annotations on the drawings. They are rarely signed and the majority are undated.
The database records contain summary information extracted from the designs, as well as an image index number. The majority of records also display a large thumbnail image for quick reference. To view a full-screen image, click on the thumbnail or the image index number where appropriate.
Large scale, preservation quality images of the complete collection are available to view on disc in the Library. Additional background information on the Earley’s can also be found in the Library.
